How to play memory, and how to win
The rules fit in one sentence. Winning with few moves takes a little method.
Memory is a card game played with pairs. All the cards lie face down. On each move, you turn two cards. If they show the same picture, you keep them. If not, they turn back, and you try to remember where they are. The game ends when every pair is found.
Start with new cards
At the start, every card is unknown. Turn cards you have never seen: each one tells you something new.
Remember by rows
Do not try to remember the whole board. Remember small groups: "the dog, top left; the beach, second row". Say them in your head.
Use what you know
When you turn a card whose partner you have already seen, go straight to it. A miss on a card you knew costs more than a miss on a new card.
Fewer moves, more points
In Pixmory, your score grows when you use fewer moves and when you chain pairs in a row. See Combos, levels and achievements.
